THE ARCHIVE
VISUAL IDENTITY/EXPERIENTIAL DESIGN + SENIOR CAPSTONE
For one half of my senior capstone at Iowa State University, I chose to design a visual identity system as well as the interior design plan for The Archive. The Archive is a free, traveling pop up museum that explores the gap between what is real and what is virtual through the use of augmented and virtual reality technology. The Archive's mission is to create an immersive, fun, and educational museum that travels to up and coming cities so anyone, anywhere can experience the wonders of a museum for themselves. Through the use of pull out compartments, QR codes with moving images that can be played with, and a Hidden Archive VR headset room, the viewer will experience a museum unlike any other. Throughout the project I created a full branding identity, posters, merchandise, and other promotional items. I also created a full interior design plan system to showcase what the museum might look like in a real brick and mortar situation. For me, this was a passion project that I have wanted to make a reality for a long time that combines my love for museums with my love of creating immersive spaces for everyone to enjoy.
